In the heart of the Marais, a stone’s throw from the Centre Pompidou, a factory of possibilities will emerge next spring to serve contemporary creation.
Espace Bertrand Grimont is characterized by its eclectic dimension, its human scale and its sincere ambition to defend multidisciplinarity. Espace Bertrand Grimont is an incubator of ideas and audacity.
A store and showcase of excellence, the Galerie d’objets is intended to broaden the community ofaesthetes, collectors and creators around capsule exhibitions that will be regularly renewed. Its guideline was unveiled at the Préambules prefiguration event.
With its coffee, grocery store, meeting and exchange facilities, Le Banc ensures that alternative initiatives have a voice. In February 2020, in advance of the work carried out by ENSCI-Les Ateliers, it will host a transversal and multidisciplinary programme in order to reveal the dimensions of the place as an agora, a stage and a hub. The programming will be developed in partnership with the production office Les Indépendances.
Espace Bertrand Grimont is the project of an international network of galleries, institutions, art venues and private initiatives. It is eager to assert a more collaborative and civic dimension to artistic advocacy. It therefore presents an annual cycle of exhibitions based mainly on the invitation of foreign structures or artists, with the ambition of developing partnerships. Also, Espace Bertrand Grimont will inaugurate its programming in the spring of 2020 with a solo exhibition by Phillip King, in collaboration with the Thomas Dane and Lelong galleries. It will be accompanied by an agenda of meetings on the representation and promotion of artists at the international level.
Espace Bertrand Grimont strives to put the human being at its centre. It places thought, making and action at the heart of its DNA.
